Outside, on the streets of Toronto, a deluge. Inside the Scotiabank Centre, Shakira flooded the hearts of tens of thousands of her followers with her electrifying music, her sweet and particular voice and the subtle poetry of her lyrics.
On Tuesday, that audience of all origins waited patiently for almost two hours to see her come out on stage with that good girl face and those tight, almost always black rocker outfits.
She started with Pies Descalzos, one of the songs from her beginnings in ’94… and then she was accompanied by her four musicians, between the recent – Clandestino, Chantaje, in which her line goes through the urban genre – and the classic, those ballads and even those disco songs that made her a world brand. And her voice, equal to or better than before that operation.
The El Dorado tour shows a Shakira who has matured – she is already 41 years old -, as well as a woman who up there walks around happily and playfully like a little girl playing games in the park.

The ‘ooh’ of tenderness, the hysterical screams, the applause in ovation, the spontaneous choruses of the crowd show that she knows how to reach her loved ones. And hers are from teenagers, even children, to those who go with her from her generation of the 90s.
Difficult to say which topic had the most impact. Anthology she did it in an acoustic version, with cajons and guitars; Hips Don’t Lie, a little a cappella and in English and Spanish; She offered a cut version of La Bicicleta, played the guitar about three times, and showed it to the camera with a stamped image of her family when she made Me Enamoré. She didn’t talk much but when she did she was true to the meaning of her Arabic name: gratitude. People gave her their love in return, made her palms, and sang with her until the end. What better way to recognize this Colombian for her charisma, her talent and her feeling. Rain outside, in Toronto, and inside the Scotiabank Center another form of deluge, with confetti and full of emotion.
